[edit] Top Tip
Always use a neutral point of view, as Yellowikis is not a place to promote points of view. Write as if the information is a non-judgmental news article. It is acceptable to show two sides of an argument, as long as you do not include personal opinion or judgment on which is correct.
[edit] How to add your company
- First, put your company name into the 'Search' box. Click Go. A page will open that tells you whether your company name has already been entered. If it hasn't, then click "Click here to add this link", and a new page will open. This is your page.
- Then, you need to add the template to the page. You do this by clicking the yellow target button at the top of the edit field. CLICK IT ONLY ONCE OR IT WILL LOOK VERY ODD AND MAKE NO SENSE.
- Edit the page to replace the various fields in the template with your company's data
- Then, when you have edited your page, click 'Show preview'. If you don't like the result, keep editing until you're satisfied.
- Then, click 'Save page'.
[edit] Editing your company's page
This is covered in detail on several help pages:
- Help:How to use edit field — what all the edit field buttons do.
- here — notes on how to fill in the different fields in the template.
- Help:Advanced formatting — more tips on formatting.
Adding basic markup is very much like editing in a normal word-processor. For example, if you want a portion of text in bold then highlight it and click the "B" button at the top of the edit bar.
